I’m so excited to feature Tales by Rails by Jewel E. Leonard for my first review! This erotic and romantic novella is a true gem and I’m already looking forward to reading it again.
The story begins as hopeless romantic Rhea’s divorce comes to a close. What’s next? She doesn’t know, so she does what we’ve all fantasized about – getting a ticket to who cares where and leaving it all behind. Of course, that’s just where the fantasies begin…because, although she plans for a quiet, mind-clearing trip halfway across the continent, there’s a lot more in store for her.
Enter Surfer Boy. With his sandy hair and tan muscles, it’s hard for Rhea to keep her eyes off him…and when the opportunity arises to put her massage skills to use, she can’t keep her hands off him either. This leads to a flirtatious and deliciously awkward first encounter, and the start of a much more rousing trip than either could have guessed.
Being erotica, we all know where this ends up, so I won’t spoil the details of how they get there. 🙂 Once they do find themselves in Surfer Boy’s cramped private cabin, things heat up quickly. The sex between these two is undeniably hot, but it’s made even better by their chemistry, connection and witty repartee. Rhea’s inner hopeless romantic gives their time together a sweet edge that I wish featured in more erotica.
Overall, Tales by Rails is a captivating, well-written and sexy novella by Jewel E. Leonard. It delivered everything I hoped for and more – fun banter, a relatable heroine, an intriguing hero and lots of thrilling sex. ♥ I can’t wait for the next one!
